Boulder turquoise, sometimes called ribbon turquoise is formed when a stone cutter takes natural vein turquoise and cuts in a direction to create the vein going through the stone like a ribbon or splotches of turquoise.

The reverse is stamped ’sterling’ and the silversmiths initials OM
